I knew from the beginning that I wanted my artefact to be based on the TV show Fleabag as there have not been many, if any, shows that have impacted my life as much as fleabag did. One of the most notable and emotional scenes of the show is the final scene of season 2, where Fleabag and Hot Priest part ways and in turn, fleabag parts ways with us. I wanted to do something to emulate this scene and thought there would be no better way than to recreate the bus stop that the scene takes place in.
In my original plan I envisioned the background to be a photoshopped piece of art printed onto acetate but as I was designing I knew I wanted to display the scenes from the show behind my model instead.
The bus stop and sign are made from card, foam board and acetate. I wanted to use this as an opportunity to show my model-making skills. The fox (a key character in the second season of Fleabag) is hand felted. I chose to do this to show my skills with mixed materials.
