The Cat in the Hat has a very special place in my heart. As a child it fascinated me; its fantastical dream-like world, its sense of whimsy and change of reality. This film has stayed with me as one of my favourite films for my whole life.
The set design in this film is immense; a whole fantasy world for Cat to reside in bleeding through to the real world altering the mundane to be fantastical and world-bending.
This film is a perfectly comedic take on family ties and not taking life too seriously.
The colour palette is captivating, it is action packed and hilarious. Truly a perfect children's film.
